This room was inspired by Loretta Lynn. I had the opportunity to visit her ranch and see her beautiful dresses and life long doll collection. Yellow and blue fill this room with gorgeous curtains, wallpaper, and accents. Loretta is right there on the side table next to the adorable pineapple lamps.
The Beautiful Loretta Lynn room comes with a writing desk.
Nothing says Mid-Century Design like a green grass rug and some yellow chairs. The perfect set up for some coffee or tea in the morning.
Here are the "After" photos of a home we designed in the Palos Verdes Mountains. The property was a California ranch style home with low ceilings. As part of the re-design we raised the roof to 16' which left us with 12' high ceilings. My team and I designed the main spaces with coffered ceilings. Since my client had a lot of contemporary pieces from a previous home, we wanted to incorporate those, but still create a family friendly home that wascomfortable for her babies. I created a modern rustic residence with a grand kitchen fully equipped with chrome plumbing, a white ceramic farm house sink and large island for entertaining.
In her master bathroom I added painted ship lap to give some more charm and personality. Pops of color flow throughout the color plan and we strategically placed lighting that would add drama and ambiance.
This home, though hard to believe had all black ceramic tubs and vanities, brass hardware throughout and a funky kitchen from the early 90's. This project went through a full demolition that took over 4 weeks. I designed some rustic Spanish colonial doors that were stained mahogany.
I selected darker grey cabinets for the kitchen and balanced it with some white quartz and a matching brick back splash. This home was being prepared for market so I wanted to maintain a neutral palette that could be easily staged and can allow homeowners to make their own.
I converted a storage room with a 3' ceiling height and no stair access to a fully functioning wine cellar. We had to create head space and stairs as well as insulate the space to keep it at right temperature. I wanted to create a rustic feel that was still warm with a full lighting plan. There was a tasting table and shelving stocked with wine glasses as you entered the cellar. I hand selected the lighting and door hardware with wrought iron.
For the Master Bathroom, I wanted to incorporate stone and wood to emulate a spa. I design built-in's with towel and robe storage and shelving for slippers across from the sauna. A contemporary free standing tub sits against a stone wall with down lights for wall washing.

My Client was an empty-nester and a painter, so I wanted to create an inspirational palette that would give her a fresh start. She loved the ocean, so I brought elements of a painting she did into her home.

I have 15 years working in selecting colors. This is some of my work that was used for brochures and print.
My Goal was to create and design from scratch vintage dress designs inspired from the 1940's & 50's. Details such as lace, polka dots, pearl buttons and collars were all part of the layers that made these designs come to life!
